Life changes

I'm not really sure who reads my blog anymore. With Facebook, I have quit coming to my blog as often. But I have also recently deactivated my social media connection.
There are some life changes happening and it's not an easy thing to write about nor do the words roll off of my tongue so easily.
Chad and I are divorcing. We have been separated for several weeks now and the papers have been drawn up and signed. Life is so messy sometimes. But beauty always rises after the ashes. And there are some beautiful things about to rise from this after the dust settles and we are no longer the town gossip.
I've learned how ugly, mean and nasty so called "friends" can be. How everyone is either concerned about getting the latest gossip or concerned that my kids souls will go to hell for the decision I made. (Yes. Someone told me that.)
I don't need anyone's approval. Nor do I want it. I want people to take a look in the mirror and be honest with themselves about their own lives. And the things that they hide when they are so quick to gossip about other people.
Changes in life are always difficult. But sometimes they are necessary.....

Randoms

Our oldest was inducted into the Beta Club last week. Super proud of him.

Brennan leading prayer for the 3rd year in a row at Scout Sunday at our new church home. The man on the far right is our pastor. Him and his wife have become our BFF's.

And this. Because Daryl. 😄

Random holiday pictures

This shirt I had on pretty much summed up how I felt on Christmas Eve with the incredibly warm temps.

Sassy does not EVEN BEGIN to describe this daughter of mine. She's so stinkin' cute though!

Merry Misery......

Well. Our Christmas cards have been photographed. The next 2 parts might be "iffy"--- printing them out and addressing envelopes. So in case that doesn't happen...... Merry Christmas.
We're all in misery.

Breakfast at Tiffany's!

So my daughter had her 4th birthday party this weekend. And the sucker that I am for all things unusual AND retro.... well, I decided to go with this theme. It. Was. So. Much. Fun. I loved planning it and partying from start to finish! The girls all received sunglasses and pearl necklaces for party favors and we painted nails and did makeup.  Perfect girly-girl party!

Her big brothers and bodyguards.

Beautiful girls at an elegant party.

The closest I'll ever get to a Tiffany's piece of jewelry.
Photo booth!

Holly Golightly would be proud.

Once Upon a Time Princess Tea Party

Today MG and I went to a tea party for princesses. They had all the major Disney prinncesses there. Mary Grace had her hair and makeup done and was in Princess heaven. We had a lovely time. It's so fun to see the magic in her eyes. I try to cherish these moments more and more. They grow up way too fast for my liking.
