Birthday/Anniversary weekend

We went to the USS Alabama for an overnight trip with the boys for Brennan's ninth birthday. Fortunately, he chose to do that as opposed to a birthday party. I'm just over birthday parties. (I think they're overrated.) We had a great time! And MG was not with us. I knew it would be almost impossible to take her on the tour of the ship. Especially with all the climbing and descending of the stairs you have to do. But it was a fun, quick trip! Saturday was our 11th wedding anniversary and today is Brennan's 9th birthday. I'm amazed at how fast time flies!

Mother's Day weekend

It's been a great, beautiful weekend. Chad and I celebrated our 11th anniversary a week early, and Mother's Day has been wonderful. My children picked out new charms for the charm bracelet Chad gave me after Mary Grace was born. Brennan picked out a Bible, because he loves to read the Bible. Ethan picked out a sparkly pink heart because he knows what I love. And they picked out an angel to represent Mary Grace. Couldn't ask for a more meaningful gift. So glad that God chose these beautiful souls to be my family. 

Busy little bees....

Life has been SO incredibly busy. Spring is not my favorite time of the year. I've told y'all that. I love the beautiful things that bloom and the warm sunshine, but I hate the pollen and how life gets so rushed, rushed, rushed. Soccer, t-ball, Cub Scouts, and in our case-- birthdays, anniversaries, piano recitals, and school field day. I don't like to be so busy that I can't collect my thoughts. I get overwhelmed so very easily and it causes me to stay frustrated. Which is why I've said before--- after Christmas and the months of November and December, my favorite months are January and February. Life slows down. Way down.

Anyhow, just sharing some more pics of our busy life. It's so convenient now that I can blog AND share pics straight from my phone!

M.O.M. (Mission of Mercy)

Such a blessing! This is an organization that travels nationwide, providing free dental care. It's been to our local area twice, including this year. My boss has been a participant and the past 2 times they have come, I have not been able to travel to Nicaragua. So I itched to do mission work AND dentistry. And, here we have it. I assisted my boss and it was a wonderful experience.

My brown-eyed girl....

Y'all, this girl keeps us rolling. She has personality for DAYS. I seriously think my grandfather, who prayed fervently for her before he left this earth, is catching glimpses of her from heaven and he is laughing hysterically. And yes, those are Brennan's shorts and Ethan's underwear. And while wearing his underwear, she twirled in the kitchen like a ballerina. Now those really are the funny moments I will miss one day.
