So, to answer #1. This will be hard. I find myself to be boring and plain. Finding 20 random things to say about myself is a challenge.
20 random things:
#1. I love stormy weather (as long as I am at home and not driving in it).
#2. I like to be by myself.
#3. I hate my arms. Always have. I call them "Mamaw arms"
#4. I am insecure about my lips. Ever since 9th grade when I used to wear very little makeup and a friend of mine in harmless teasing (or so she thought it was harmless teasing) called me "pale lips" every single morning. That is why, to this day, I cannot get my lips bright enough or glossy enough. It goes back to my teenage insecurities.
#5. I have very little self control. If I could change anything about my personality, that is the one thing I would change.
#6. I love music. And lyrics. I like songs when I like the lyrics. Not the beat of the music.
#7. I sometimes think that I was born in the wrong century. Or decade. I have a nostalgic heart. Of times gone by. Much, much simpler, innocent times.
#8. I do not like to smile. I'm always worried I have bright pink lipstick on my teeth or remnants of my last meal.
#9. I am a very, very deep person. I think too much. I get emotions involved even when I shouldn't.
#10.I am paranoid. Always worried about what everyone thinks of me. I am getting better at this with age though! Unlike my self-control ability.
#11.People who talk in excess make me extremely nervous. I can feel my body tense up immediately. Sometimes even my husband makes me nervous when we're around other people and he gets wrapped up in a conversation. That man can talk.
#12.I can usually read people, even strangers, very easily. Sometimes it's a gift. Sometimes it's a curse.
#13.I like to have a clean house when my husband gets home from work. It makes me feel like I've had a productive day. And even though he couldn't care less about what the house looks like, I feel like I owe it to him to come home to a clean house.
#14.I wish I knew how to style my own hair. As in, use a curling iron, or hot rollers...... or something.
#15.I love to save money. LOVE.
#16.I like to take catnaps.
#17.I have a very bad attitude that I have to make it a point to suppress sometimes. My mouth and my attitude have gotten me in a heap of trouble over the years.
#18.I suffer from terrible insomnia. But I don't like getting out of my bed to accomplish anything. So I just lie there. Sometimes worrying, sometimes daydreaming, sometimes praying.
#19.I hate shopping for myself.
#20.I do not like messes.
Question #2 from "The List"
Describe 3 legitimate fears you have and explain how they became fears.
#1. I fear losing my one or more of my children or them being harmed in some way.
As I have gotten older I have seen the fact that none of us are excluded from death or harm. I have seen childhood friends pass from this life very unexpectedly. I have witnessed friends lose siblings and other parents lose a child. Both infants and adult children. I cannot even begin to understand the capacity of grief and loss and utter heartbreak. I never, EVER want to experience the loss of one of my children. EVER.
#2. I fear the crumbling of America in my children's lifetime. And I fear the freedom of religion being stripped away. I fear the downfall of this nation. The reason I fear for that is because it's already happening. Crooked politics and politicians are slowly making America crumble in on itself.
#3. I fear losing people I love. And I know it's bound to happen. From friends to parents to family members. It's a part of life. But when I lie awake worrying at night, that's the kind of thing I think about. Losing my loved ones throughout life.
